Hey Guys,

I uploaded some Aerial Video files at YouTube for your viewing pleasure. I started a post a week or so ago, but accidentally deleted my videos out from under the link. These were done with an Airfoilz Edge 540 and Canon SD450 Digital Camera. Enjoy.

Cool Videos. Do you have any pictures of your plane with the Camera installed?

That was great footage. I would like to see some photos of your setup.

Hello,

Sorry for the delay. Here is the basic setup. These photos show the plane with my Optio S6 Rig. This camera is lighter than the SD450 by about an ounce, but the resulting videos are not near as clear. I am switching back to my SD450 (Similar mount). Anyway, this mount is very stable. The Duct Tape works great, is very light and provdes a solid and ample hold. When it is removed, it does not damage the Foam. Once I determine the optimal location, and stick with a camera, I will likely use the same mount, but with some sort of strapping system to mount it.

When flying AP with this plane, it helps to add just a hair or two of flap flare to the ailerons (flaperons) to slow the plane a bit. Especially for landings. In the videos, the plane was flown with straight setup and no flaperons.

Enjoy!

Cheers,

Hi James:

Thanks for the quick reply. I use the same camera on a Magpie AP. I never would have thought to hang it on my Yak. How large a memory card do you use?
