Hey guys finally got my maiden done over the weekend...The only thing I noticed is that I get quite a bit of Pitch -Roll coupling..I dialed in some mixing today but still have to tweek it little bit. The other thing I need to get is another batteryI'm having to much fun flying this Edge!!!

You should need NO mixing, make sure that you laterally balance the plane.

look at you ailerons.. They should both be a touch up. Lateral balancing is the key also!

Hey does a touch up of aileron apply to all planes and how does it help !!!!
Thanks

Lateral balance is fine.. I'll Check for up in the ailerons, and give that a shot..
Thanks,

I give a little up in most of my planes, some need it and some don't.. basically I use a little for my 3D planes and for pattern flying planes I try to get everything close to "0". How it works...not sure but it does ;)

I just went through this with my Edge. I tried a bunch of stuff (short of mixing) to no avail. Then it dawned on me; the CG on the Z-axis (top to bottom through the fuse) was waaaaaay too low relative to the thrust line, due to the battery placement (TP-1320 under and against the wing, stuck to the fuse. The landing gear has so much moment on Z-axis CG, it has to be offset, somehow.
To test my theory, I edited the RealFlight version of the AirFoilZ Edge and reproduced it to a "T". I spent a good bit of time yesterday fooling around with my real one - here's a link to what I came up with. I have so little coupling now, I can almost knife edge it with one hand! Man, this thing flies *sweet* set up like this!!!

Also, with the battery now on the centerline rather than the side, I had to remove the penny I had glued to the left wing-tip to get the lateral balance back. This thing is very close to 0-0-0! :D

P.S. - By the way, I have since added a seat belt for the battery; it ain't going anywhere!

We don't experience any coupling with the lipo in it's stock position, yes it's not the ideal place but it does not adversely affect the flight performance, what does make the biggest difference is the CG and the lateral balance.

Well then, I don't have a clue what the issue with my plane was; but one thing is for sure; it is pure dynamite with the battery where the photo I U/L'ed shows it. I just flew it again, and walked back in the house grinning from ear to ear!
I surely would like to get to the bottom of it because I have two more to build; one for myself, and one for a friend - and it surely looks better with the battery in the stock position. My friend is going to fly mine tomorrow AM; I told him if he likes, he might could walk away with a RTF in exchange for his kit.
Any ideas as to where I went wrong will be greatly appreciated!
