Guys just a quick question,
It says on the Airfoilz site that the recommended power system for the Bipe is Hacker A30 - 28L, but for the life of me i cant find one anywhere on the net or Hacker Website.
I am thinking it may be a type 'o and is supposed to read A30 - 28S?
Can anyone confirm this for me?
My Bipe should be here today, and i want to go pick up a power system for it today so i can build it this weekend!
Cheers,
Mick

A little reseach and it is a typo on the AirfoilZ website it is an S an not an L. It is an 250 watt motor and the motor I run on the bipe is 350 watt. Hacker 350 watt motor is the A30-16M is what I would use with an 11X5 if you want to run a Hacker. The extra 100 watts puts the plane over the top and the extra oz can not be felt with the light wing loading.

Thanks Mikey, I ended up getting the A30-28S with X-30 ESC.
I am sure it will be fine for me, as my flying is nowhere near as Brutal, WOT'd yet oh so graceful as you, thats for sure! :P
Thanks again for the speedie reply!
Regards,
Mick

For the first time ever, a new Hacker motor locked up on me.
I was giving The Bipe a full throttle blat when the engine made the most terrible Grind / Lock up noise i have ever heard. Comparable to blowing up a real engine!
I shut it down and 'dead stick' landed with no probs.
Once on the ground, i gave the motor a few revs, and it sounded fine.
If i spin the motor by hand, it feels spot on, and makes that brushless 'werrrr' noise like always.
Anyone know the procedure from here? (Pull it apart and check it out? or dont touch it and send back?)
I'll talk to my supplier i spose and see what they reckon.
Id hate to take it back up and get caught out 10 feet off the ground when your not expecting it! :p
I have nothing but Hacker in my fleet..... but, it might be time for something new! Will keep you posted.
