My landing gear does not want to stay in. The springyness of if makes it work its way out just sitting on my bench. I don't think I want to glue it in perminent.

Does anyone have a trick to how to keep the gear in before I fly it?

Take you dremel tool with a cut off wheel and notch the side of the wire that goes into the block I notch out several on each side they do not have to be real deep. You have a lot of flights on it mine don't start to do it till 100+ flights?

Thanks for the tip Mikey. I tried making some little skuff in the wire.

Couple hard rolls to the right....

Couple hard rolls to the left....

At the end of a dive with a hard elevator into a hover...

Bank to the right hard.... and a sparkling something float back to earth. Yep! Landing gear ejected...

On the flip side... I love how well the plane flys! It makes me look like I know what I am doing.

I will try making some more aggressive skuffs.

I will send you a new wire maybe your gear has lost it's spring?

Paul, I don't think that is the case. I think it has to much spring. The first time I put the gear in the block the springyness pushes the gear out so that the gear is only in to the first bend. I think Mikey's suggesting of ruffing the surface will do the trick. I basically scratched the surface and it stayed in much better. I think if I scar the surf to the point of having a burr that will cure the gear from falling out.

The scoring of the landing gear did the trick!

I really Love my YAK!

Takes off in 5'-6'...
Lands in 5'-6'...
Yanks and Banks...
It is the only plane that I can hover with...
