well ill keep it short, it flew great, even though its overweight @ 21.2 oz's.

the wind picked up it was about 15-20 mph, i went to fly @ a local park a first for me.. considering all that it flew quite smooth and precise... the only problem was the landing gear block..... i dont blame the kit design, nor how i built it.....it was my landing in the thick grass,,, i had no choice, i dont have the skills to hover it into my hand.

overall it is a good p[lane

21.2 is FAR from over weight for a 40" WS foam plane, good to hear the first flight went well at least.

ohh , so i guess im ok weight wise then.... the reason i thought it was overweight was because the plans say the weight range is 16-20 oz

- what I have read in places here and there suggests that the extra weight improves the plane's ability to tumble, AND, handle higher winds a bit better. That makes sense to me.

On my second build (yet to start), I am planning to use the 2100 maH battery, with the Scorpion 2215-18 (?) motor with 10x5E prop... just like Woody's setup he used for one of his vids. Paired with my first one, this will give me a lightweight version using the 1320's with Hacker A20-20L, and the one I just described. It will be fun to compare the differences in how they fly and handle. - TD

Nice vid.....

Here is a short vid my bro shot of me 'attempting' to Hover my Yak at the local park. (Just starting to get the hang of it... sort of.;)
Jordan and Mikey make it look sooooo easy! )
Winds weren't that strong (10 - 15mph) but very gusty, which adds to the excitement i spose! :D

Check out the QANTAS jet that flies into view, spewing the camera didn't hold focus very well..... maybe next time.

Thanks,
