I have not currently being used a Electrifly RimFire 35-36-1000kv motor, weighs 3.6oz's and puts out max constant watts of 592w.
Would this be MAJOR overkill??? Would the weight be an issue on this bird?? I have it, should I install it on the Mobius Pro???
Thanks.

Yes, the mobius LOVES power. The motor I have is heavier and my mobius flys awesome.
This is the motor I'm using so I think you should be fine.

I'm running a Hacker A30-28s for traditional pattern flying (park style no where near competition). This plane begs to be flown fast so I'm running a apc 9x6E, I like that better than the 10x5.5e. This motor is 2.5 oz. If you are flying pattern you will be happy with more power for only an extra oz.

Yah...I prefer 365 watts...Hacker A30-16M with APC TE 10x10...couldn't really ask for more from the batteries without killing them.

I was thinking the Hyperion z3013-14 which is very similar to the A30-16m in size and KV. That and a 9x7.5e would be in the mid 20's amp wise and have a nice balance of thrust and speed. I have one laying around. I just need some batteries to power it. N_G

I'm still loving this Scorpion motor I'm running.. Tons of power... Lots of flights and not one loss of power!

Woody,
My Scorpion at picked at MWE is a solid 20% less power...than the what the official specs say. As such...it provides marginal power for the demostration pilot. I am having Paul order me up a next 'hotter' version, so I will get my needed 350-400 watts. I am assuming that the next ones I get will have the same issue...so I am getting a larger version. If these come out 20% weaker than the official specs...then I'll know there specifications are off. To be honest...BY FAR the best motor so far I have seen for these planes is the Hacker A30-16M. That motor would out power most other motors in the field. Its just pricey.
Maybe the Scorpion I have is an annomally...S3014-18. I had to drop in a 10x7 Slow Flyer to pull the watts out I needed. The 10x10 APC TE won't even get mine to 30 amps. Anyway.

Hi guys,
I got my Mobius, three days ago.
I am running a E-flite 480 1020KV motor on mine and it seems plenty for now it hovers great with this motor! Long flights, some where 15 mins. I used an 11X7 today, tomorrow I will be using an 11X5.5 APC E prop!
I will chime in and let you know how it went!
Thanks

The 11X5.5 APC E prop worked great.
Gave me enough power to hover this plane and still was moving pretty quick.
That's the ticket setup!
