We want some input on the scheme for the bipe, do you like it? Do you like the color? What would you change?

Paul,
Not to be critical but I personally have never cared for the Green/Black color scheme. The plane is a spectacular flyer but a color scheme similiar to the lastest one for the Yak with bright colors would make it stand out.

I do not currently own the Bipe (plan too though), however on I do have the Mobius Pro & Edge, and would have to agree that the green and black would not be my first choice.
Orange and black would show up extremely well I think..

Cool, that is what I was thinking.

The Yak, Mobious Sport and Mobius Pro Schemes...need help...or atleast another more conventional option. I like the Yak and Edge Schemes. I do my own Mobious scheme becuase I can't see doing a orange or light green colored airplane. :)

Got any schemes you want to share? :)

Actually, you know I do. However, a better thought would be to have a contest to get folks to submit their designs. Winner(s) get a plane...err...somthing.
I bet you would get some great designes. Just a thought.

I like the Orange/Black idea. Also would like Red/Yellow.
I actually quite like the green...

The green has never done anything for me either. A traditional red Pitts color scheme would be great. I too am about ready to buy the bipe but not keen about the green or orange colors and I am not that great at painting.

Gets plenty of attention down at the flying field! :D
But i still think this one takes the cake! :)

Hey...so lets do the the contest...what the heck. It could be a good PR stunt.
"Our customers said our paint schemes sucked...so now is you chance to design a paint scheme that will be used by pilots worldwide...and if you win...you get your choice of any Airfoilz kit."
Paul...this is a golden PR opportunity...

Hey Paul...so if we are going to submit a paint scheme... Can we get a PDF with a graphic of the side/bottom/top line art for the Bipe and Mobius?
That way I can color it, and send it in.
Hey Mike....those are vastly better pasint schemes!!! I like them!!!

PSD or a illustrator file would be the best.

I recently finished my "Bipe" (pics coming soon under a different thread). The green and black looks nice on the bench, on the ground, and in my pics. In flight the plane looks good when it's flown in close. Sometimes, I fly a wide pattern. When the plane gets out there, its predominant color is white. The plane can get lost in the haze. I think it would be neat to consider top AND bottom wing trim using brilliant reds and oranges with a splashy burst of color, perhaps a color gradient or starburst pattern, on the outside face of the wing struts.
Alternatively, consider doing the entire model in solid colored (i.e. pumpkin orange or salmon) depron (if that's available).
I also like the idea of a coloration contest.

I think the Pitts red/white checker pattern is a classic design that fits the bipe just right. Makes you want to drink a Coca-Cola and sing the National Anthem....:)
