Hi Paul,

I am interested in getting the bipe. One poster said that you could cut the bipe decals in another color. Is it possible to get them in red like on the Edge 540? I am not very handy at painting and I think the decals give a more finished look.

Also, in the RC Universe review, the tester says that he like the 11x4.7 prop best and said that you agreed were going to change them in the scorpion combo but when I looked at the combo, it still lists the 9x6E. What prop comes with each combo (torque and scorpion)?

Thanks,

Matt

Here is what I have on the site-

1-Torque 2830T w/30a ESC
1-APC 10x5 prop

OR

Scoprion 3008-32 w/ 35amp ESC
4-HS-55 servos
1-APC 11x5 prop
1-2100 Lipo

I will cut what ever color combo you want, just let me know.

Paul,

Got the plane today. The red decals look great. Thanks for the great service and for cutting decals in red. I really appreciate it.

Now I can't wait to get it together and fly it.

What servos are you guys using? Is it worth moving up to HS-65?

Not on the bipe, it flys to slow, but they are a better servo.

They were HS65s.

Then would it be better to do HS-65 all around?

You will need servo extensions for all the servos.

The HS65s are better servos it really depends on how long you have been flying if you are really good then get them if you are still learning stick with the HS55s.

Will do. I put the lower wing in tonight and did a fillet on it. It turned out great!:D A lot better then all the Gorilla glue that expanded out from the wing of my Yak.:(

I will have it done in a couple of nights. I have this Friday and next Tuesday off so I will have a lot of time to fly it if the weather cooperates.

Went to local electric park on Sat.
Was a great day for flying.

I fitted my E-DVR 5 in 1 video camera to the Bipe but the view didn't quite work out how i wanted.... will give it another go this weekend.
Cheers,
Mick

And that is plenty for all 4 servos? Also...I read that with the Scorpion Motor that comes with the combo from 3dxhobbies reccomends the 11x5.5? This is the info I got:

(The 3008-32 will work very well with the APC 11x5.5 prop. The 10x5 is a little small for this motor. On 3 cells, with the 10x5 prop, you will pull 17.2 amps for 180 watts of power. You will get 37 ounces of thrust and a pitch speed of 41 MPH.

If you step up to an 11x5.5 E prop, the motor will pull 21.7 amps for 228 watts of power. You will get 44 ounces of thrust with the same pitch speed of 41 MPH.

The 12x6E prop is a bit big for the 3008-32 motor. It will pull 25.6 amps for 268 watts of power. You will get a little more thrust at 48 ounces with a pitch speed of 40 MPH. If you run the 12x6 on a 3008-32 on 3-cells, you will need to limit full throttle operations to 30 second bursts with a little time to cool down between WOT bursts. You won't hurt the motor with this prop, it just pushes the motor into an inefficient range of the power curve where it it running at 58% efficiency, so over 40% of your power goes up in heat.

I hope that answers your question.
