If you are going to use hs-65 and plan on doing hard 3-d modify it as the attchment shows.

This is at the TE of the stab.

So it looks like you have to make a notch in the TE of the stab to add that wood? Do you have a pic of it by any chance?

Sorry I'm just having a hard time with where exactly it goes, and does it just add strength then?

I don't have a pic yet. It does add strength, but the only time when you need that is when doing a WOT bleeder.

Paul,

This thread answers my question but I am unable to open your "mod" but that might be my slow computer. I am building the Yak and I was wondering why this balsa piece on the stab is not in the design as per the Edge and Mobus. Looks like a win-win to add this for strength.

The way the stab shape and elevator is, it just does not need it for stiffness as the other 2 planes. You need a pdf reader to open the attachment.
