I have a Vislero 15C, 2100 battery that I got with my Bipe combo and have about 10 flights on it and after flying it yesterday when I was starting to charge it I noticed that it was a little fatter than normal. It was like the plastic had air in it? Is this what happens when a lipo puffs? I was not sure if it is what happens when a lipo puffs or if the battery material expands but the battery still feels hard to the touch.

What could cause that? Running them too hard? I have a Cell Pro 4S charger and this is a great charger so I know that it has not been over charged. All my TP batteries are close to 2 years old with no problems what so ever.

Should I discontinue using this battery?

Thanks in advance....

No its fine all my vislero packs have done this and still put out great power. I still charge them and fly them with out any issues these packs do this for some reason but still work great. That being said it is only a little bigger right like 1/8 to 1/4 taller if more than a 1/4 taller I would send it back to paul for new one.

When I first got it it was very square and flat on the side, now it is slightly rounded and you can push on the side with your finger about 1/8" before it touches something solid (assuming the battery material).

Could this have happened because I am using the Torque 2818-900 with a 12x6 prop and pulling 41 amps? This battery should only be good up to 31 or 32 amps.

Thanks,

Lipos are funny in the way they go bad they build internal resistance which means that they will still put out what they claim say 1300 but at a very slow rate. This rate goes down and down till they wont put out enough to get the plane in the air but will run till they put out the 1300. I say never go over 70% what they claim why at a 100% you will get maybe 20 cycles then they are dead 90% around 50 80% around 250 here is the kicker 70% around 500. If they say 30 amps never go above 21 amps. If you go way over on there rating then you can kill it right then and there. What you are doing to your pack is killing it.

Try an 11x5.5 on that Torque 900 motor to get the amp draw down a bit. You are pushing those Vislero's pretty hard with that motor and a 12x6 prop. If you are feeling power hungry go 4S using the 11x5.5. Gives about 580 watts.

2818/900 on 3 cells draws about 31A on a 12x6, 36A on a 12x7 and also about 36A on a 13x6 (all xoar, but if you could match the pitch on apc they would draw the same thing)
