Open battery bay?

Hi all,
I just finished building the fuse on my 260 over the weekend, and either I'm short one piece of Depron, or there is no covering over the battery compartment. Is it supposed to be open like this? For ventilation maybe?

Yeah it's meant to be open, you didn't miss anything.

You can do something similar if it 'floats yer boat'
I left mine open and it is fine.
