i have completed the build, everything looks good except the cg with recomended battery placement is about 5 1/2" from leading edge at root.

i actually cut in a battery bay just behind the motor and this works out to 4"

any reason this happened?
plus im using a himax 2816 motor which should have increased the nose weight

on a good note a 2200 mah battery cg is fine in the recommended spot.
but approaching 26 oz.

just wanted to see if anyone else has seen this problem.

I think 5" is probably getting a little too far back. 5.5 might be outright squirly. I honestly haven't tried flying with the CG that far back.

What are you using for components?

That is way back there...I have mine set right around 4-4 1/2" using various lipos and motor combo's. Start at 4" and make your way back if needed.

I understand 5" plus is way too much, I didnt fly like this, its just where i ended up. so I moved the battery just behind the motor.
it actually looks good and its snug in the bay now

I found the same issue with mine as well. I like 4" aft of the L.E. but with the Turnigy 2213 20turn 1050kv 19A Outrunner I first installed, I had to make the underbelly fwd of the gear an access door for installing the battery.
Many are using much more powerful and heavy motors, and thus have an opposite issue.
Let us know how the 2816-890 pulls the 260. I think you will want more power.

Good Flying, Jet
