The Extra 260 is on the drawing board.

260 would be awesome.... but a Cap isn't too far behind :)

A Extra 260 is in the works.

Any chance of building a Cap with a Mid wing position??? Get the best of both worlds, the axial rolling and no coupling tendancies the Caps usually have but the Cap tail would be great!!

Yep we have discussed that.

Any further thoughts on a midwing Cap???

I think we can work that in.

Um...I'm going to come at this from a different direction...I don't care too much about the shape of the plane. What I care about is how well a plane performs. (unless it is butt ugly). None of the current AF planes are ugly. :)
How about a plane that go from level flight to harrier to a hover ... with ZERO wing rock. I am not sure this can be done with a light small plane. But hey...you asked what I want.
So I guess to get back to reality...if you need to pick a plane to put into production, it would be one that offers performance capabilities not currently covered by the Edge, Yak, and AF.
What about a VP Yak? That would be cool. THe VP stuff has been quiet lately...not sure why...mostly I guess becuase the motors are so small.
AF war planes... Corsair's...A-10s...unique stuff.

We are working on a VP Counter Rotating using one motor system.

Wow...that would be cool!!!

Woody extream extra 360 with an envgraved woody series motor like woddy V-1...and next generation motor woodyV-2 all this tested, abushed, and used by your factory pilot for horspower and longivity....think on this one paul. He has worked hard for you and this would absoulutly be the coolest thing ever. I mentioned this to luchen also so maybe some help there. there are many way to advertise this, lighter material is removed. Factory tested.mabey a magnet upgrade or special wiring for great big horspower. It will work!!!!!

Hey...speaking of this thread...what the deal on the new counter rotating power system?
A rogue pilot need to be different from the heard of other flyers... :-)

Paul seriously I think you need to do a plane advertised like what I spoke lots of pics with Jordan flying in many different places, pics of him overseeing the building, just hype it up real good you already know the plane will be good but bust it out it's one of your pilots plane and people Will by with enough hype build up.TV, Radio, hobby books with great reviews.....work this Paul and you be back in the money like Uncle Scrooge the Duck. Think on this, as I believe it will help you and Woody

Hey captain, Woody's dad here what do you think of what I just put out on this site???????

Wendall,
Having met Jordan, I think that leveraging his enthusiasm and hard work for promotional purposes makes a lot of sense. The trick is finding the right marketing vehicle. I have no idea how many planes Paul ships, or what his marketing budget is. Running TV or radio ads seem like a shot gun approach...and not the best bang for the buck.
With limited resources, Paul needs to finding something that will give him good results and bang for the buck. Also, Paul has to decide he likes the idea and get behind it. The idea for an Art/Design contest for an Airfoilz plane didn't go over so well.
So we need a focused marketing effort, with a message/product/"call to action" that is compelling, and that will also create "buzz."
Whats buzz? Basically when a plane or product does something that no one else can do....examples:
(1) My new VP prop can make my plan stop and go backwards.
(2) My new Lipo packs can discharge to 2V per cell, and cost half as much.
(3) I flew my plane full speed into the ground...and it didn't break.
(4) I press this button on my radio...and this new control surface pops out and the plane does this new really cool manuver.
How do you get you new products in front of potential customers/pilots...that make the buzz? And how do you do it inexpensively? Thats the million dollar question. I think leveraging fun flys...somehow. Factory pilots can help "some," but they cannot be everywhere.
The cool part...once the buzz is going...it becomes self sustaining. The cool people in the clubs...the early adopters will babble about it endlessly. Then people take notice...and the sales take off.
Anyway...this is largely an issue Paul has to get his head arround.

We have the proto done for the a VPP and a non VPP. I'm working on the details to have them made, I can't tell you more than that it's top secret.

I have the only Airfoilz in three different clubs in my area and not many people have even heard of them but yet everyone that has seen it and the way it flies love it, but for some reason, I have not seen any new Airfoilz pilots on the block. I have a bipe on the way so now they will have two planes in their faces. So I am doing my part. But you are right Captain, it is the million dollar question.

Well, as long as we're asking for planes a Katana would be awesome!!!

A Geebee would be a great addition and perfect indoor flyer.
The P51 Mustang and Spitfire would go perfect with the Zero and Bearcat.

I always wanted a foamy with a biggggggggg fattttttt airfoil like a smaller version of the eratix or tribute 36.

airfoilz version of a full fuse "Clik!"?
or a 3D ultimate biplane, i love those design, probably easy to make too
use the fuselage from the 260 and give it 2 wings with swepts:D

What about a plane that flies all aspects of 3D without any compromises. Kinda like the PA Addiction. Don't worry about that it looks like a full size plane, just make it fly 3d better than any plane out there. Start with a clean sheet, and new ideas. These full size planes were not designed to fly 3D, just fly aerobatics so why try to copy a design that is already lacking?

That sounds intresting! Short body...thick wings...tumbler?

doesn't have to follow the "fun-fly" rule of having thick wings and small bodies
it just have to fly great
no wing rock, predictable, 3Ds above all others, lots of rudder authority, easy of access, able to use the most common battery 3S 2100, and it has to be versatile, as in it could be used as an aileron/sport aerobatic trainer, pattern and IMAC plane with the throws turned down, and 3D with max throws, price has to be low too:D
sounds like alot, but that's what we all want in a plane

...... I like his idea. another person once said something along the lines of "why do we need a canopy in a RC 3D plane? Are we going to sit in it? It only throws off the symmetry of the plane and causes coupling issues" ........ the wing is symmetrical. Why isn't the fuse or the rudder?
Just a thought,
Kevin:)

but having that canopy makes it sexy:p
we could paint the canopy on like on one of those crazy pattern bipes too:D
