Yak Decals

Got my YAK yesterday and I have started the build. Airframe is good stuff and I like the quality, however the decal sheet is another story. It just takes away from the overall quality of the kit and really is not on par with the high quality of the rest of the Yak. I have only applied one side of the fuse and I can tell that I am going to have problems with adhesion.

At this point I am seriously considering bagging the decals and painting a custom job instead.

Anyone have good success with the factory decal sheet?

Ps...they would be worlds better if they were made of vinyl *hint hint hint*

We have sold 100's of planes and 97% of what we have sold not many have had problems, BUT some decals material my have a glue problem, with the material itself. We are now in the process of switching over to all vinyl which does not have any adhersion problems. SO what I can do is send you the new scheme to replace the decals you have now if you like. Just email me at paul@3dxhobbies.com it will be next week when I can mail them out.

Great customer service! Not that my minor complaint was intended to get anything out of it, simply to talk about my experience. However, I will stand down on my plans to paint and give the new decals a try.

If they are as good as the rest of your kit I will have one very nice foamy indeed!
