    Default New guy

    Airfoilz Group
I just wanted to say Hi to everyone and thanks for the great reading. Im new to electric flight and foam planes as I flew many years ago and was a gas guy. I have many many hours flying and building balsa planes. My first foam plane was from Insane Foamies. Spending hours on Youtube watching 3D stuff I spotted the Airfoilz planes and fell in love. I bought a full fus plane first and was amazed at how great the kit went together so I ordered the 300NX. Another awesome kit. When i started flying my Airfoilz I started out having balance issues. The planes flew great at high speed but slow flight was impossible. I chatted with Paul several times and learned the way I have been balancing was just for quick reference. I started moving the battery back and back and I still can move farther using the knife edge method. Having old radios I ordered a 2.4 Ghz from Paul and will soon have questions about expo and mixing I have been seeing you guys talk about. I see servo connections now come micro and standard. Anyway thanks for all the great photos and building advice guys. Thanks for all your help Paul.

    Default For the Group-

I have a question concerning the Edge set up. If you were to draw a line straight through the motor where would it be on the tail section? Above or below the elevator? Is thrust angle the same as the thrust line? My edge flys great fast and I love the kit so much I have ordered another. Im still having problems flying high alpha and hovering. Ive got something wrong as I watch all the videos of some awesome slow flight. Im using a new radio with expo which has helped some.

Move it about 1/4" at a time...test and move as needed. You will get there!
